North Naim is a renaissance artist despite his youth. He plays keys, guitar, drums, and writes, produces, and sings all of his songs. At 19, he won the coveted M4Music Demotape Clinic competition which is judged by a major label and independent music industry professionals in Switzerland. His Angolan roots fuelled his interest in African music and lead to him playing both guitar and Djembe in a band as a teenager.
[+]The sounds of Kid Cudi and Kanye West influenced his raw and experimental approach to music which has resulted in a genre-bending form of pop. North Naim brings tremendous energy to his live shows, creating a stage-diving, punk-like experience that adds tremendous impact to his honest and heartfelt lyrics. North Naim has joined forces with the taste-making curation platform Majestic Casual to release new music. The artist who impressed attendees of FHNW Basel Sommerfest with a skill that betrayed his age is ready to be reintroduced as a more polished and authentic version of himself.
